kenkolodnerOne late night, I came across this amazingly fun video on YouTube of a giant pile of fiddlers playing and singing this tune. It took me a few years to get around to learning the piece, but I was immediately smitten with it. Check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ax_ij5UZ38 “Promenade” was a huge hit when we taught it at The Spring Sandbridge Hammered Dulcimer Retreat of 2021. Mary Lynn Michal and I recorded “Promenade” on Out from the Shadows! The backup is as complex (or maybe more so) as the lead. It is a bit challenging but well worth the effort.
