Years ago, I learned this tune from the late harpist John Kovac at “Clifftop,” the giant old-time music festival in WV. This may seem like a strange place to learn a Paraguayan harp tune! John Kovac died in July, 2022. I so much enjoyed John’s playing. The very fast 3/4 tune includes a fun rising melody with lots of chord changes and a highly syncopated third part. We present the hammering for the melody, discuss the chord progression, a backup/harmony, and arranging ideas including a super fun glissando! Here is my source for the tune featuring the late John Kovacs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK_a_WQLDuk
